From the Grand Rapids Dragons front office:Dragons team doctors have confirmed that running back Suzra Bejundha will miss the 2015 season... with the expectation of her first cub. The team confirmed that the cougar is pregnant, and is expected to announce her retirement from the UFFL within the next couple of days. "Razi and I are excited to be starting a family," she stated with her husband, himself a former football star at Catamount College, at her side, "I feel like I have done enough playing football, and I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life." Bejundha, 29, played all six seasons of her career in Grand Rapids, with her best season being 2011, where she rushed for 778 yards on 205 carries, scoring 6 touchdowns on the ground and another 2 through the air. But she would be remembered most for a 49-yard touchdown run against Chicago in which she slipped out of three tackles before racing down the right sideline and diving in over the pylon to seal a 34-30 comeback win over the Outlaws. She went on to thank the entire Dragons organization, whom she said "was like a second family to me over the years," and that the cub "would more than likely come out with a football in his or her little paw," which drew a round of laughter from the press gathered.
