I'm aware of this issue.
There exists frustration over the likelihood of injuries being generated by the simulator that are causing some headaches when the roster size is limited as it is. A good 50-60% of positions don't have backup players. As VP I wanna see people happy here in our first season before we sacrifice all our attachments towards realism (and injuring characters). There's a part of me that always tries to see your viewpoint.
Comment below how you feel on this subject and I'll relay the information forward.

I was just talking to Wendigo about this. It WILL be a serious problem if someone gets there character drafted only to have them go down with a long term injury during game 1 or 2, it'd be involuntary exclusion, a DEFINITE interest killer for the league. I say this because after seeing what happened to Justin Brown (Who's pretty much out for the season) it makes me and Wendigo think that Drafted/Undrafted Rookies should be excluded from long term injury.
On a personal note: I know I'd be upset if Coby broke a leg and was out for the season, it'd pretty much make him irrelevant in both the UFFL and when interacting with the FBA players.

Yeah, there is a fine line where you want the characters and interest to be there and yet you still want to bring in that realism to the point where the GMs have to alter their lineup. Otherwise, all they would have to do it set it and forget it, letting the sims take care of everything else. If the simulator did exclude rookies overall, then it may be enough for other people to come in and make their players and see them perform in the sport and hopefully give them a story of their own.

I'm not so sure it would be manageable to cancel out all rookie injuries, but we have realigned our methodology for running the injury simulator. Just a reminder that injuries are not generated by the game simulator; they are two different things. So that's why they've been getting announced the day after the game.
ANYWAY, the changes we have made are:
- Halve the rate/likelihood of getting injured in a game - Halve the length of current injuries on all teams - Prevent rookies from getting injured longer than 6 weeks
What we haven't done is:
- Increase roster size
While it's still in all possibility that we could still increase the size of the roster, we want to facilitate some kind of method for the free agents to be brought into teams without someone grabbing them all at once. Right now, if they need a CB, they sign a CB and release a vet player (hopefully)... increasing the roster size allows one GM to come in and sign all available user-created free agents, which is unfair to other GMs. We could control it/manage it, but that would be a bit more work than we would like to invest.
So that's the update for Week 3. We'll see how it plays out!
